Paxton Park Board approves purchase of scoreboard for Nelson Field | Ford County Chronicle

PAXTON – The Paxton Park Board approved the purchase of a new scoreboard for Nelson Field at Monday’s meeting.

The scoreboard, which will be provided by Electro-Mech Scoreboards, will be approximately 10 by 5 feet and cost $5,938.

Paxton Park District Recreation Director Jordan Chapman received a donation of $5,400 from Diane Johnson for the scoreboard on Friday.

The board approved spending no more than $550 out of capital funds to cover the rest of the costs.

Also at Monday’s meeting:

— The board approved payment of $3,200 to Paxton Aquatic Wildcats swim team coach Daiton Piatt.

— The board abled approval of minutes for the board meeting held Aug. 13, 2024.
